At the Fall 2006 FOS Meeting in Titusville, Florida, we will hold a special book sale and silent auction with this collection to benefit the FOS. A total of 125 of the books and pamphlets will be available for immediate sale in the price range of 25 cents to $12.00. Fifty books will be available for sale under a silent auction system which allows bidders to write in their bid on a list visible to all bidders. Finally, eight vintage collector books, such as Howell’s (1932) Florida Bird Life and Sprunt’s (1954) Florida Bird Life, will be available for silent auction at beginning minimum bids.

The books will be available for sale or bid at the Best Western Space Shuttle Inn, on Friday, October 27, 2006, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 28, 2006, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

All books must be paid for in cash or by check. Credit cards will not be accepted. Silent auction bidders must be present Saturday evening, at the social hour or immediately following the banquet speaker, to pay for and claim their purchases. More details regarding the sale and auction will be available at the meeting.
