| 15 _Brotogeris_ parakeets showing considerable variation in wing color and pattern. All individuals were part of a flock of 20 birds wild-caught at Fort Lauderdale, Florida in January 1999. The birds were surgically sexed in July 2000, when all but two males had mature gonads. Six pairs bred in captivity in 2001 and produced young. Photographs (c) by Howard Voren, 2002.
