Submit an Observation

Field observations consist of significant bird observations compiled by the Field Observations Committee (FOC). Electronic submissions to the FOC should be in the following format: species, number of individuals, age and sex of the bird(s), color morph if applicable, location (including county), date, observer(s), and significance. Seasons are winter (December-February), spring (March-May, Summer (June-July), and fall (August-November). Submit observations to the regional compilers within two weeks after the close of each season, or to the state compiler within one month.



Tampa Bay Area (Brian Ahern)
- Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties

 

Orlando Metro Area (Bruce Anderson)  - Lake, Orange, and Seminole counties

 

Central Atlantic Coast (Andy Bankert) - Brevard, Indian River, Martin, and Volusia counties

 

Southern Florida (John Boyd) - Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties

 

Western Panhandle (Bob and Lucy Duncan) - Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton counties

 

Southern Gulf Coast (Charlie Ewell)  - Charlotte, Collier, and Lee counties

 

Northwestern Peninsula (Bev Hansen)  - Alachua, Citrus, Hernando, Levy, and Marion counties

 

South-Central Interior (Paul Miller)  - Highlands, Polk, Okeechobee, and Osceola counties

 

Eastern Panhandle (John Murphy) - Franklin, Leon, and Wakulla counties

 

Jacksonville Metro Area (Peggy Powell) - Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns counties

 

 

State Compiler (Bill Pranty) - any other county within two weeks after the close of a season, or any part of Florida more than two weeks after close of season
